World Water Day be an annual United Nations (UN) observance day dem hold on 22 March wey dey highlight de importance of fresh water. De day be used to advocate give de sustainable management of freshwater resources.[1] De theme of each year dey focus on topics relevant to clean water, sanitation den hygiene (WASH), wich be in line plus de targets of Sustainable Development Goal 6.[2] De UN World Water Development Report (WWDR) be released each year around World Water Day.

UN-Water be de convener give World Water Day wey dey select de theme for each year in consultation plus UN organizations wey dey share an interest insyd dat year ein focus.[1] Na de theme for 2021 be "Valuing Water" den de public campaign invite people to join a global conversation on social media to "tell us your stories, thoughts and feelings about water".[3]
