Yaa Ntiamoah Baidu (anaa Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu) be Ghanaian zoologist, environmental specialist, academic den management expert. For March 2017 insyd, na dem appoint am as Chair of de Board of Millennium Development Authority of Ghana.[1] She serve as Pro Vice Chancellor give University of Ghana til ein retirement for 2011 insyd. She be member of de New Patriotic Party of Ghana.[2]
Biography
[edit | edit source]Na Yaa Ntiamoa-Badiu study for St. Monica's Senior High School for de O-level, then for Konongo Odumase Senior High School for dee A-level.[3] Na she study for de University of Ghana, wer na she receive a first class degree insyd Zoology insyd 1975,[3] then a PhD for de University of Edinburgh insyd 1980.[3][4] Na she be a lecturer insyd de Department of Zoology of de University of Ghana, insyd 1985, then an associate professor insyd 1995. Insyd 2003, na dem appoint am as a full professor.[3][5][6]
Na dem appoint am to de university ein management committee as de Pro-vice-chancellor for Research, Innovation den Development.[7] While for de university, na she be de director give de Centre for African Wetlands[8] den de University of Ghana Carnegie Next Generation Of Academics insyd Africa.[9] Na she serve plus Kwesi Yankah, wey na he be Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic den Students Affairs. Na she serve insyd de position til July 2011 wen na she retire from de university wey na she be replaced by Prof. John Gyapong.[7] Insyd 2005, na dem induct Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu along plus four oda professors of various academic disciplines as fellows of de Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.[5]
