Brig. Gen. Yahaya Abubakar (Rtd) CFR be a first class traditional ruler (Emir anaa Amir) wey na he be de 12th Etsu Nupe, anaa King of de Nupe Kingdom, since 2003.[1][2] Ein royal stool dey situate insyd Bida, Niger state.

Background

Na dem born Yahaya on 12 September 1952 at Bida insyd Niger State wey he dey hail from one of de ruling houses of Bida Emirate (Usman Zaki). He attend Government College, Sokoto den later Commercial College, Kano (1967–1971), then he enroll into de Nigerian Defence Academy (1973–1975) in preparation for joining de Nigerian Army.

Before na dem appoint am de Etsu Nupe, na he be de Kusodu Nupe. Na ein last military posting be to de Nigerian Defense Headquarters Abuja, wer na he be a director of foreign operations, before he retire as a brigadier general insyd September 2003.[3]

Na dem appoint Yahaya Abubakar Kusodu Nupe de 13th Etsu Nupe on 11 September 2003,[4] de ruler of all de Nupe speaking people insyd de world (Etsu Nupe: The King of Nupe) in succession to ein late uncle Alhaji Umar Sanda Ndayako.[5]

By dis title, he be de Chairmo of de Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers.[1] He be de chairmo, Coordinating Committee National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria.[6]
