Political career

Vena bin elect as councillor for Economic Freedom Fighters inside Nelson Mandela Bay insyd 2016. Insyd October 2018, e try contest for provincial chairperson for EFF during de party ein provincial conference but e no win.[1] Later, dem elect am enter EFF ein Central Command Team for de National Peoples Assembly wey happen insyd December 2019.[2]

E resign from ein position as councillor for Nelson Mandela Bay plus get suspension from party activities for February 2020 after dem accuse am say e rape one Nelson Mandela University student.[3] For February 2021, Vena talk say e no guilty, den for July 2022, court clear am from de charge.[4][5]

Insyd November 2022, Vena win election as EFF provincial chairperson, wey e beat de incumbent Yazini Tetyana by 33 votes.[6] On 28 February 2023, dem swear am in as member for Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, after Tetyana resign for January.[7]
