Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah (wey dem born 27 July 1970) be Ghanaian politician.[1][2] She be member of de National Democratic Congress (NDC).[3] She be de Member of Parliament for de Salaga South Constituency for de Savannah Region of Ghana.[4][5] She be de first woman for Salaga area wey dem elect as MP for de Fourth Republic.[4]

[edit | edit source]Zuwera Mohammed dem born am on 27 July 1970 to late Kuntundawura, Alhaji Mohammed Zublilah Ibrahimah from Kpembe, wey be former principal den rector of Tamale Polytechnic (wey now be Tamale Technical University), den Adisah Nassamu Ibrahimah.[1]
She come from Kpembe for de Savanna region of Ghana.[6] She grow small for Winneba wey she start ein basic education. She go secondary school at de Tamale Senior High School[4] den later she go Nigeria wer ein poppie dey work as lecturer for Adu Bayero University insyd Kano, Nigeria.[4] She get Bachelor of Arts degree for Management Studies from de University of Cape Coast from 1998 den a post Graduate Diploma for Community Development, from Trent University forCanada.[1] She sanso get Master of Arts (MA) degree for Communication Studies from de school of communication studies, University of Ghana from 2006 wey she sanso finish Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) for Marketing from de University of Ghana Business School, 2007.[1][4]
She obtain ein master's degree for Diplomacy den International Trade Business insyd (Diplomacy) from de University of East Anglia insyd de UK for 2012 insyd.[6][1] She currently dey for ein thesis project top in pursuit of a PhD for Media den Communication insyd from de Goldsmiths College, University of London for de United Kingdom insyd.[1]

[edit | edit source]Zuwera work for different sectors insyd especially for community development planning, administration den diplomacy insyd.[1] Prior to entering politics, she be de deputy director of de Information Services Department.[6]
She work as a project officer for de three Northern Regions (Upper East Region, Upper West Region den Northern Region) insyd for de Small Town Water Supply Systems project top den sanso as a project officer plus de Catholic Relief Services for de Quality Improvements top for Primary school programme insyd for de Northern Regions insyd as well.[1]
Zuwera work as a consultant for de Joint Monitoring Programme for Water Supply Sanitation and Hygiene (JMP) top by WHO/UNICEF for Ghana insyd. She sanso work respectively as de country Manager of de Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) den de country Representative of de Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership.[1]
For de field of diplomacy insyd, she work as de Minister-Counsellor den Head of Information den Public Relations of de Ghana High Commission, London.[1]

[edit | edit source]For August 2019 insyd, she contest give de National Democratic Congress primaries give Salaga South Constituency den win as de candidate to represent de party for de December 2020 Elections insyd.[7][8]
Zuwera Ibrahimah garner 472 votes to win de election against Ibrahim Dey Abubakari, a former two-term member of parliament give de constituency, Ahmed Saaka Shaibu Dan den Lukman Jawula wey get 260, 116 den 1 votes respectively.[9][10][11]
Ibrahimah win de 2020 parliamentary elections give Salaga South Constituency wey e make history as dey first female member of parliament give Savannah Region.[4] She win after e poll 20,525 votes wey dey represent 49.5% against de incumbent member of parliament Salifu Adam Braimah of de New Patriotic Party wey sanso double as de Savannah Regional Minister, wey get 19,086 votes wey dey represent 45.90%.[4][12]
