Aswan University be varsity wey de locate insyd Aswan, Egypt. Dem establish am insyd 2012, na ebe previously known as de Aswan branch of de South Valley University.[1][2][3]

Na dem establish Aswan University branch insyd 1974 as branch of Assiut University. De study start for October of de academic year 1973/1974 insyd de faculty of education wey dem give de first bachelor insyd 1978 wey dem start de enrollment for master degree insyd de faculty of science insyd de academic year 1977/1978 after dat de enrollment for Ph.D. insyd start insyd de academic year 1977/1978. Insyd 1995 dem issue de presidential decree no. 23 of 1995 make dem establish South Valley University den then Aswan branch affiliated to am, dem establish fresh faculties (faculty of arts – faculty of social work – faculty of engineering).

Insyd 2012 na dem establish Aswan University as governmental varsity by de presidential decree no. 311 insyd 2012 wey now dem include 15 faculties (de faculties of arts, education, science, social work, engineering, energy engineering, veterinary medicine, agriculture, nursing, languages den translation, medicine, fisheries technology, commerce, specific education, den archaeology).[4]
