Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (alias School of Agriculture) be Federal government owned tertiary institution wey dey Akure, de capital city of Ondo State for South Western Nigeria.[1] Dem establish de institution for January 1957 by de then government of de western Nigeriaso so say ego develop de agricultural sector by say ego train certified Agricultural assistant wey dey include middle level manpower wey go help address de agricultural gap wey dey de state den de country insyd by extension. After 2-year training programme, dem equip students say dem go fi organize labour plantation as well as say dem go assist researchers make dem manage areas den collect data as field assistant for de extension system insyd, dem be jobs, graduands no dey hia say dem go venture go self employment den earn sam decent living. For dis tym, National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) accredit de school say dem go fi award National Diplomas (ND) den Higher National Diplomas for Agricultural related courses insyd.[2][3][4]

De College be part of few Nigerian institutions wey dey partner plus de Swiss government for capacity building project insyd wey be known as Capacity Building for Agricultural Education wey dey Nigeria (CBAEN).[4]

Possible Upgrade go University of Agriculture[edit | edit source]

For 2021 insyd, dem propose sam bill wey go fi make dem upgrade de college go sam full-fledged degree awarding Federal University of Agriculture wey dem read am before de floor of de National Assembly of Nigeria.[5]
