Georgina Hermitage, (born 28 March 1989) be British former parasport athlete wey dey compete iinsyd T37 sprint events.[1] Insyd 2015, she qualify for de 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships insyd Doha, dem select am for de T37 100m den 200m. She take de gold insyd de 400m sprint, wey she set fresh world record.[2][3]

Hermitage take up athletics as school girlie wey she join Guildford & Godalming Athletics Club. For de age of 14, she frustrate by ein lack of progress compare to ein peers, na she be approached by coach Hazel Childs wey suggest she switch go parasports.[4] Hermitage take de advice badly wey she quit athletics for protest, though she later admit say she regret dis decision.[4]

Insyd 2012, dey follow de London Paralympics wey e inspire am make she lef legacy to ein newborn daughter, Hermitage decide make she cam turn classified as parasport athlete.[3][4] Na dem classify am as T37 competitor wey insyd 2013 she enter ein first meets as disability runner.[2] She intend make she compete thru out 2014, buh stress fracture to ein foot see am miss de majority of dat year ein competition wey dey include de 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships insyd Swansea.[6]

Insyd February 2015, Hermitage make ein international debut wen she travel to Dubai make she take part insyd de Fazaa International, de first IPC Grand Prix of de year. For de meet she run 14.22 make she set fresh personal best insyd de 100m sprint, wey she win gold insyd de process.[7] Insyd June dat year Hermitage san represent Great Britain wen she compete for de Berlin IPC Grand Prix. Der she enter de 100m, 200m den 400m sprints. She win all three events, dey post personal bests insyd de 100m (13.80s) den 200m (28.48s) wey she beat Lisa McIntosh ein 15-year-old record insyd de T37 400m sprint plus time of 1:02.70.[2][6][8] Just over month later Hermitage enter ein third Grand Prix of de year, dem hold for de Olympic Park insyd London. Der she improve for ein record insyd de 400m wey she win de race insyd 1:02.48.[2][9]

For de end of 2015 Hermitage represent Great Britain for de IPC Athletics World Championships insyd Doha. Der she enter de T37 100m den 400m sprints. Insyd de heats for de 100m she record personal best of 13.79, wey she fini second to teammate Kadeena Cox wey set fresh world record.[10] Insyd de finals na de result be de same, Hermitage cam second to Cox make she win silver, ein first major international medal.[11][12] Three days later Hermitage compete insyd ein favoured 400m event. Na ein time of 1:02.01 be improvement of ein own world record, wey she beat de World Champion, France ein Mandy Francois-Elie, into second place.[13]

For de 2016 Rio Paralympics, Hermitage win de T37 100m final insyd time of 13.13 make she take de gold medal.[14] She sanso win gold insyd de T37 400m[15] den silver insyd de T35-38 4 × 100 m relay.[16]
