Rhode Bath-Schéba Makoumbou (dem born am for 29th August, 1976)[1] be an artist from de Republic of the Congo. Working insyd oil painting den sculpture, she dey exhibite around de world. Career

Dem born Rhode Bath-Schéba Makoumbou for 29th August, 1976 insyd Brazzaville, Republic of de Congo, den be de daughter of painter David Makoumbou.[2][3] Makoumbou has been creating art since 1989, originally oil paintings wey make plus a knife.[4] These dey consider to be distinctly African, but plus influences from realism, expressionism den cubism.[1] Since 2002 she has work insyd sculpture san, creating figures out of sawdust den wood glue over a metal frame. These tend to be depictions of dying rural African trades den sam dey up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) tall.[4]

Makoumbou's work dey feature insyd more dan 230 exhibitions across de world.[3] She win de 2012 Grand Prix of Arts den Letter of de President of de Republic. She has since move to Brussels, Belgium.[2] Dem appoint am an officer of de Ordre du Dévouement Congolais by President Denis Sassou Nguesso at de opening of de Pan-African Music Festival for 13th July, 2013.[3] De award be for ein artistic abilities den san ein work to spread awareness of Congolese art throughout de world.[1]

Makoumbou dey experiment plus hair-styling, creating traditional den modern hair styles on models dat be exhibite at de Brussels Ethno Tendance Fashion Week insyd November 2017.[5] She maintains workshops insyd Brussels den Brazzaville.[1]
