Rufus Giwa Polytechnic be tertiary learning institution wey dey Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. De National Board for Technical Education approve am as state-owned Polytechnic.[1] De Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria sana accredit am.[2]

Dem establish de Polytechnic by edict for 1979 plus de name De Polytechnic, Owo by de outgone Military Governor Sunday Tuoyo. Executive Governor Adekunle Ajasin start dey operate de Polytechnic immediately as he assume office for early 1980. Dem rename am as Ondo State Polytechnic for 1990. By 2010, na de polytechnic get ova 4,000 students.[3]

De Polytechnic get several department for de Faculties of Engineering, Science den Technology, LEMS, etc. Eget mandate of training den developing techniques for Applied Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Accounting, Commerce den Home Economics insyd.[4]

Rufus Giwa Polytechnic get de following rectors: Mr Olusegun Arodudu, Dr Adeyeri, Prof Adedimila, Mr Alao, Mr Ogundowole, Prof Peter Fapetu, prof ajibefun, Engr Ologunagba den Mr Gani Ogundahunsi wey presently be de Rector.[3]

For June 2003 insyd, dem rename de Polytechnic after Chief Rufus Folusho Giwa, sam prominent businessman from Ondo wey cam turn president of de Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).[5] Students protest de change of name wey make dem shut down de school, dem reopen am for 29 September 2003 insyd.[6] For July 2009 insyd, de polytechnic close down secof strike by de staff ova non-payment of 10 months monetization arrears.[7] For February 2010 insyd, wey Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko inaugurate 16-person governing council give de polytechnic.[8] For March 2010 insyd, Mimiko talk say ein government pay de monetisation arrears of N210 million wey na dem dey owe de polytechnic.[9]
