Na dem born Stephanie Jallen for 13 February 1996 insyd Kingston, Pennsylvania.[1] Na dem born Jallen plus CHILD syndrome, Congenital Hemidysplasia plus Ichthyosis den Limb Defects Syndrome.[1] Dis mean say na dem for amputate Jallen ein left leg, ein left side be under-developed, wey she dey suffer from rashes.[1] Ein nickie, Hopper, dey cam from de fact dat wen na she no wear ein prosthetic limbs, she for hop.[2] Na Jallen always be active wey she learn how to play soccer plus ein friends. She get crutch buh she dey use am mainly for balance wey she be happy to stand anaa move around for ein leg top. Insyd interview she say dat she go no want make she get ein limbs back to normal as dat go just make am "boring".[2] Jallen dey study for King's College in hopes make she earn business degree.[3]

Na dem introduce Jallen to skiing for 2006 winter ski clinic insyd Pennsylvania.[4] Na ein international debut be insyd 2011.[4] Insyd dat year, na she be de US slalom champion after she cam first insyd de event.[5]

Na she encourage Iraq war amputees wey na wen she be eleven insyd 2007 she speak for Harrisburg to de Pennsylvania senate wey she tell dem make dem no give up.[2]

Insyd 2012, she "lacerated" ein face insyd Kimberley, British Columbia insyd Super-G event. De wound result in she need twelve facial stitches. She sanso fracture ein tibia plateau wey she partly tear knee ligament.[6][7] Jallen sanso suffer head den back injuries, as well as she undergo surgeries to de knee den ankle.[8]

Paralympics

For ein début Paralympics, de 2014 Winter Paralympics insyd Sochi, Jallen compete give Team USA insys three events: de super-G, de slalom, den de super combined (Jallen dey compete insyd standing for all events insyd).[4] Na she be de second-youngest member of de national team.[9] She cam third insyd de super-G, wey she fini 5.94 seconds behind Marie Bochet; wey she sanso fini behind Solène Jambaqué, both of France.[10] Jallen cam third insyd de super combined[6] plus time of 1:25.15 seconds, 4.74 seconds behind Bochet, wey win.[6][11] However, Jallen no fini de slalom[12] wey she fall insyd de giant slalom.[13]
