Anna Pešková (nee Kulíšková, born 9 March 1986) be Czech para-alpine skier,[1] wey dey compete insyd de visual impairment disability class. She win silver den bronze medal insyd de Super-G events for de 2006 den 2010 Winter Paralympics, respectively.

Career

Na Kulíšková experience visual impairment from birth, plus she fi be able to see four degrees thru tunnel vision.[2] She later explain say dis limited ability make she see dey mean say she fi read books den enable am make she study.[3] While as kiddie, she compete insyd variety of sports for de national Sports Games of Visually Impaired Youth. Dey follow dis she take up cross-country skiing, den then para-alpine skiing after she discover say na downhill skiing be possibility.[4]

She first compete for at de Winter Paralympics insyd de 2006 for Turin, Italy. Na she place second insyd the Super-G, wey she win de silver medal. She sanso compete insyd de giant slalom, wer na she fini insyd fourth position outsyd of de podium places.[3] Kulíšková san compete for de Paralympics for de 2010 Games insyd Vancouver, Canada. Dis time she win de bronze medal insyd de super-G competition for visually impaired athletes. Na ebe de medal per wey athlete wey komot de Czech Republic win for de 2010 Winter Paralympics.[5]

After she graduate plus bachelor's degree from de Faculty of Social Sciences for Charles University insyd Prague, Kulíšková move go Vancouver. She find make she get accommodation difficult, as she need make she live somewer wey go allow am make she keep guide dog. While der, she undertake lessons make she improve ein understanding of de English language.[2] Outside of sports, na she dey seek career insyd journalism.[3]

After she return from Canada, she married wey insyd 2016 she give birth to twin babies. Then she cam back to alpine skiing. She participate for de 2018 Paralympics insyd Pyeongchang,[6] wer na she stand 11th insyd super-G wey she no fini two oda races.[7]
