Asia Alfasi (dem born am for 20th April, 1984) be a Libyan-British manga-influenced comic writer den artist. Dem born am insyd Libya den she move for Scotland at de age of 7. She lives insyd Birmingham, England. Ein works synthesise Islamic, Libyan, British, den Japanese influences. She first gain notoriety wen she be de first female to participate insyd den win de Hi8us Midlands Stripsearch competition plus a portfolio wey dey base for ein character Monir.

Publications

Since she first start creating comics professionally insyd 2003, Asia release two major publications. Ein first major work, "JinNarration", get publish insyd de Mammoth Book of Best New Manga, an anthology of works by up-and-coming young British comic artists. Ein short semi-autobiographical story, "The non-savvy non-commuter", be display on de walls of Piccadilly Circus tube station as part of Thin Cities, de celebration of de 100th anniversary of de station's opening. E be on display from 15 December 2006 to 31 April 2007.

Ein first individually publish graphic novel will detail de adventures of a young Muslim girl den de events of ein life insyd both Libya den Scotland. E be due to be released by Bloomsbury dis year.Template:When

Events

Following a period of absence from de public scene, Asia attend several events since de start of 2009. She dey appear at de Highlands International Comics Expo, de Hi-Ex, on 14 den 15 February insyd Inverness, Scotland. On 10 den 11 May she attend de Bristol International Comic Expo, den later dat month she dan attend de London MCM

During dis year, Asia attend de CAPTION comics festival insyd Oxford on 15 den 16 August. She san be at BICS, de British International Comics Show on 3 den 4 October, den de second London MCM Expo on 24 den 25 October of 2009.
