Na dem first establish de Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro as college of Agriculture wey na dem turn am into Polytechnic for January 1, 2002, by law during de administration of James Ibori.[2]
Insyd January 2021, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa of Delta State announce plans make dem convert Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro den two oda schools into full-fledged varsity, de bills get ein first reading during plenary for de Delta State House of Assembly for de 28th day of January 2021.[3]
Insyd February 2021, dem pass de bill into law after e go thru de house committee for Education top.[4]
While he dey sign de bill wey na dem pass am by de State House Assembly, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa say, "As de students of wona technical education start make dem progress from de technical colleges to de polytechnics, dem sansoo get chance of make dem dey go further to de University of Science and Technology."[5]
