Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba be one of de three fresh varsities dem establish by de Delta State government wey de National Universities Commission (NUC) approve am insyd 2021. Dis varsity dey offer Undergraduate courses den currently dey comprise six faculties: Agriculture, Science, Management den Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Arts den Computing. De Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebay University be Prof Ben Emukufia Akpoyomare Oghojafor.[2]

De Dennis Osadebey University, Asaba na formerly ebe Delta State University, Anwai Campus til dem convert am to full varsity by de Delta State Government.[3][4]

For January 2021 insyd, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa of Delta State announce plans make dem convert Delta State University, Anwai Campus Asaba den two oda schools such as Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro den College of Education, Agbor go full-fledged varsity. De bills get dema first reading during plenary for de Delta State House of Assembly for de 28th day of January 2021.[5] Insyd February 2021, na dem pass de bills go law after dem go thru de House Committee for Education top.[6] While he dey sign de bill wey na dem pass am by de State House of Assembly, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa say, "As de students of wona technical education start make dem progress from de technical colleges to de polytechnics, dem sanso get chance make dem dey go further to de University of Science and Technology."[7]
