De University formerly be Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil. De University rank 123rd for de list of Best Universities for Nigeria. De then Governor of Kano state, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso propose make dem establish de university during his first tenure from 1999 to 2003.[4] De university rename go Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil for de year 2022 by de Governor of de state Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.[5]

Dem establish de University Library for 2001 with de objectives make e support teaching, learning, den research activities of de university thru systematic acquisition den organization of modern information resources for all field of study wey align to de goal of de university.[6][7]

De library get de following units:

De University start plus two faculties, de Faculty of Agriculture den Agriculture Technology den de Faculty of Science. Now e grow into six oda faculties like de Faculty of Agriculture deb Agriculture Technology(FAAT), Faculty of Computing den Mathematical Science(FACMS), Faculty of Earth den Environmental Science(FAEES), Faculty of Science den Technical Education (FASTE).[8]
