Kumasi Zoo
Appearance
De Kumasi Zoo (Kumasi Zoological Garden) be zoo wey dey locate insyd de heart of Kumasi insyd de Ashanti Region of Ghana. De zoo dey occupy a 1.5-square-kilometre (370-acre) area between de Kejetia Bus Terminal, de old race course den de Kumasi Centre for National Culture.[1]
History
[edit | edit source]Dem establish de zoo insyd 1951 den officially dem open am insyd 1957 by de den Asanteman Council say dem go conserve nature den display indigenous wild animals of Ghana.[2]
Animal species
[edit | edit source]Egey about 40 different species of animals, plus individual animals wey edey number over 135. A notable feature be de thousands of bats wey dey rest for trees top insyd de zoo.[3]
