During demma 2020 NPP parliamentary primaries, Banor go contest for de Asutifi North seat against Hon. Benhazin Joseph Dahan, Stephen Kwaku Manu Akuoko, den William Frimpong-Bonsu den won plus 189 votes wey rep 40.30%.[4][5] During demma 2020 Ghanaian general election, Banor contested plus Ebenezer Kwaku Addo wey rep NDC, den Kofi Annan wey rep GUM. He polled 18505 votes wey rep 52.62% for de total valid votes cast against Addo's 16546 votes den Anane's 116 votes, rep 47.05% den 0.33% of de total valid votes cast respectively.[6]
