Roger Kwami Mambu Zinga (1943 – 22 February 2004) na he be a filmmaker insyd de Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Life den career

Kwami Mambu Zinga study film for de Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) for Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, wey he graduate insyd 1971. De next year na he be de author of de first Congolese film make e win an award insyd an international festival. Ein Moseka win de prize for short film for FESPACO 1972.[1] Dis movie dey show de return of de native son to de DRC after he study insyd Belgium den dey adjust to ein new life back insyd Zaire.[2] He co-direct Tango ya ba Wendo (1993) plus de Belgian documentary maker Mirko Popovitch. Dis film dey document de old den talented Congolese musician Wendo Kolossoy, dem consider am say he be de "father of Congolese music".[3]

For almost two decades na Kwami try make he make Libanga, a feature film, buh na conditions insyd Zaire no make dis possible.[4] However, he direct chaw oda films.[5]

Death

For de time of ein death na he hold de position of Director of Cinematography for television. Na he sanso be de Presido of de Congolese Association of Filmmakers den an active member of de Pan African Federation of Filmmakers (Fepaci), for wich na he be de Regional Secretary for Central Africa. He die for 22 February 2004 insyd Kinshasa.[1]
