[edit | edit source]She join Gold Coast Police Force for September 1st, 1952 insyd as na she be 22 years.[4] She be de first one[5] wey dem enlist togeda plus 11 oda women wey dem make am leader.[6] Na dis be time wey dem no dey allow policeowmen make dem marry anaa make dem preg; contrary to dis directive, na dem compel dem make dem resign. Before ein resignation, she petition de government make e allow policewomen make dem marry den get kiddies, den make dem sanso reinstate those wey resign secof make dem raise families.[7] Na dem accept de petition den de condition wey prevent women from make dem serve long for de force, secof marriage den pregnancy na dem abolish am.[8]
She resign for 16 May 1958. After ein resignation, she teach for St. John's Grammar School from 1961 to 1964 as a professional teacher secof de certification na she get before dem enlist am insyd de Gold Coast Police Force. She join de Ghana Broadcasting Corporation insyd 1965 wey na she head de School broadcasting programs for a year.[9]
She retire from active service insyd 1999 make she primarily focus for writing books. She sanso translate words insyd ein book (Octagon) into foreign den local languages.[10]
