De University of Cape Town (UCT) (Afrikaans: Universiteit van Kaapstad, Xhosa: iYunivesithi yaseKapa) be public research university insyd Cape Town, South Africa. De varsity receive rank of 198 insyd de 2019 QS World University Rankings,[16] rank of 156 insyd de 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings,[17] den rank of 201–300 insyd de Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities.[18]

De faculty of Commerce as well as de faculty of Law den Medicine appeared for de top 100 faculties internationally insyd. De law faculty achieve global rank of 40 insyd de 2014 QS World University Rankings by Subject.[16] Although de varsity remain de highest ranking insyd Africa as of 2022 ein ranking dey decline since 2015.[19]
