Dem first establish de University of Delta, Agbor as College of Education insyd 1979 by de former Bendel State Government den plus de creation of Delta State insyd 1991, de school cam turn college Delta State Government dey own.

Insyd January 2021, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa of Delta State announce plans make dem convert College of Education, Agbor den two oda schools go full-fledged varsity, de bills get ein first reading during plenary for de Delta State House of Assembly for de 28th day of January 2021.

Insyd February 2021, dem pass de bill go law after e go thru de house committee for Education.

While dem dey sign de bill wey na dem pass by de State House Assembly, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa say, “As the students of our technical education start to progress from the technical colleges to the polytechnics, they also have a chance of going further to the University of Science and Technology.”
