De University of the Cape of Good Hope, dem rename am de University of South Africa insyd 1916, na dem create am wen de Molteno government pass Act 16 of 1873 insyd de Cape of Good Hope Parliament.[1] Dem model am for de University of London top, na e dey offer examinations buh no be tuition, wey e get de power make e confer degrees upon successful examination candidates. Today, dis function still dey exist within de Department of Music wer, for over 100 years, dem dey examine music pupils.[2]
