De fresh university combine de Holy Quran College wey dey exist, dem establish insyd 1981, den de Omdurman Higher Institute, dem establish insyd 1983. De Omdurman Higher Institute consist of de Sharia College, Arabic Language College den Girls' College. De university be government-owned, fund by de Ministry of Higher Education den Scientific Research.

De university dey teach Quran, de Sunnah of de Prophet, de Arabic language den principles of religion den community life. Students dey learn de heritage of Arabic den Islamic civilization.
