De fresh university combine de Holy Quran College wey dey exist, dem establish insyd 1981, den de Omdurman Higher Institute, dem establish insyd 1983. De Omdurman Higher Institute consist of de Sharia College, Arabic Language College den Girls' College. De university be government-owned, fund by de Ministry of Higher Education den Scientific Research.
Programs

Students dey learn de heritage of Arabic den Islamic civilization. Colleges be de College of de Holy Quran, Faculty of Sharia, Faculty of Arabic Language, Faculty of Da'wa den Media, Economics den Administrative Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, School of Languages, Graduate Studies den Community College.[2] Although dem base insyd Omdurman, de university get faculties for all de states of Sudan insyd.
