De Year of Return, Ghana 2019 be initiative wey government of Ghana den U.S-based Adinkra group dem create so say e go encourage African diasporas make dem come Africa (Ghana specifically) to settle den invest for de continent insyd. E be Presido Nana Akufo-Addo[1] wey he formally launch am for September 2018 insyd for Washington, D.C say e be program for Africans wey dey abroad so say dem go unite plus de people insyd Africa. De year of return dey serve as something wey Africans for remember secof na e be 400 years[2] wey de first enslaved Africans drop insyd Jamestown from de English colony of Virginia for America.[3] De program san dey recognize de achievements den de sacrifices wey de diaspora do as at dat time before dis event.[4][5] De Ghana Tourism Authority den de Ministry of Tourism, Arts den Culture plan sam activities as dem dey celebrate de resilience of de African spirit.[6][7] Chaw African Americans share dema experience for Ghana as de Year of Return happen.[8][9]
