Aowin Municipal Assembly be one of de nine districts wey dey insyd Western North Region for Ghana.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4] Originally ebe part of de den bola Aowin/Suaman District insyd 1988, wey dem create from ein former Aowin-Amenfi District Council, until ein northwest part of de district dem split am off go create Suaman District for 28 June 2012; thus ein part wey remain dem rename am as Aowin District, wey later dem elevate am go municipal assembly status for 16 November 2017 (effective 15 March 2018) wey now cam turn Aowin Municipal Assembly. De municipality dey for de southern part of Western North Region wey Enchi be ein capital town.
