Insyd all, six new regions wey dem create from de existing ten regions for Ghana. De other new regions bi Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, North East, den Oti regions.[5]

De execution for de plans for de creation for de regions wey dem ceded am go create new Ministry of Regional Reorganization and Development wey ein under de leadership of Hon. Dan Botwe. Insyd March 2017, de ministry sent de blueprint for de creation for de region along plus others to de Council of State. De council met over 36 times from de time for de submission to August 2017.
