Asunafo South District be one of de six districts for Ahafo Region wey dey Ghana. Originally na ebe part of de formerly den bola Asunafo District for 1988, until de southern part for de district wey dem split am by decree of former president John Agyekum Kufuor for 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004) go create Asunafo South District;[1] thus de part wey remain get ein name as Asunafo North Municipal, wey later dem elevate am go municipal district assembly status for 29 February 2008 wey e cam turn Asunafo South Municipal. De municipal assembly dey for de western part for de Ahafo Region wey Kukuom be ein capital town.[2]
