Cape Verde (/ˈvɜːrd(i)/ (listen)) anaa Cabo Verde (/ˌkɑːboʊ ˈvɜːrdeɪ/ (listen), /ˌkæb-/; Portuguese: [ˈkaβu ˈveɾðɨ]), alias Republic of Cabo Verde, be sam archipelago den island country for central Atlantic Ocean insyd, wey dey consist of ten volcanic islands plus combined land area of about 4,033 square kilometres (1,557 sq mi).[1] Dese islands dey lie between 600 den 850 kilometres (320 den 460 nautical miles) west of Cap-Vert, de westernmost point of continental Africa.
