Na dem born Clément Sénèque insyd Mauritius for 14 August 1896 wen na de island be a British colony. Na ein family move go Durban, South Africa insyd 1900, wey he plete ein education wey he serve as an architectural apprentice for a local firm between 1915 den 1921.[1] He move go Paris, wey he work as an architect give de firm of Alfred Agache. Na he marry ein wifey Marie Therese L'Hoste for 18 July 1923.[1] He return to Durban shortly der eafter, he live den work as both an artist den architect til ein death from pneumonia for de age of 33 for 30 April 1930.[1]

Career

Clément hold ein first exhibition for La Maison des Artistes insyd Paris. For ein return to Durban, between 1925 den 1930 he rise to prominence, wey he cam turn vice-pee of de Natal Society of Arts (NSA).[1] Multiple solo exhibitions follow, de most significant of wich take place for de Gallery of Johannesburg insyd 1927.[1]

De Tatham Art Gallery hold retrospective exhibitions insyd 1969 den 1984. A number of galleries insyd South Africa get ein paintings for display.[1]
