Dambai be de capital of de Oti Region.[3] E dey locate for de eastern side of de Oti River,[4] tributary of de Volta Lake. Na dem declare am de capital of de region wey na dem carve am out of de existing Volta Region.

Flora den fauna[edit | edit source]

De outskirts of Dambai dey contain wild animals such as lions den elephants, duikers, cobs, several marine den land snakes such as vipers, den pythons, den buffalo. Fish insyd de lake dey include tilapia, cat fish, Nile perch, electric fish, puff fish. Dere be several types of oysters den clams as well as several types of crocodiles wey dey include de Nile crocodile.[5]

De occupation of de inhabitants be farming den fishing for de River Oti top plus few inhabitants wey dem be employ by offices of de district assembly den teaching education.

De town get teachers' training school, Dambai College of Education, den several second cycle schools. Insyd 2013, anoda teacher training school den nursing school, Aim Professional Training College den Mon Reve Institute, dem establish.[6]

De town get number of senior high schools as well. Dem dey include Oti Senior High School, Yabram Community Day Senior High School den chaw odas.[7][8]
