Keta Municipal District be one of the eighteen districts wey dey Volta Region, Ghana.[1] Originally dem create am as ordinary district assembly for 1988 insyd, den tyms dem dey call am Keta District wey dem create am from den tyms Anlo District Council, till dem raise am go municipal district assembly level for 1st November 2007 take come Keta Municipal District. but on 19th February 2019, dem tear de western part of de district take make Anloga District, wey de side wey remain be de Keta Municipal District. de district dey de southeast part give the region, wey Keta be ein capital town

Keta Municipal District be bound by:

  • de Gulf of Guinea for de east den south,
  • River Volta den South Tongu District go de west,
  • Akatsi District go de north den northwest, den
  • Ketu South Municipal District for de northeast
