De Guan-speaking Gikyode. Akyode people dey live for de northern Volta basin for de Oti Region of Ghana, Africa insyd.[1] Dem dey consider dem as de indigenous people for de Nkwanta South District. Dis people migrate come de Volta valley from de Mossi region for Burkina Faso around 1000 AD. Dem dey bell de Akyode language Gikyode.

De Akyodes dey make up of communities, Shiare, Abrewanko, Odomi, Nyambong, Kyilinga, Lebon, Siban, Pawa, Sabon (Kabre Akura), Bonakye, Krachi Akura, Kpabo Akura, Gekorong, Okata (Katai Junction), Kanba (Abrewanko Junction), Nyakoma, Agou, New Agou, Asuogya, Keri, Kabiti, Akonsigewi (Dogokitiwa), Kromase, Anebogewi (Nyambong Junction) den Kue. De paramount seat dey Shiare insyd. Dem dey bell kingship gewura, wey e be de form of leadership for dis communities insyd. Every community get ein chief, anaa wura, wey dey rule de town. Dem dey bell de Kromase chief kromase wura. But dem dey bell de Shiare chief shiare wura anaa osulewura, wey dey mean King of de kingdom.
