Sunyani Municipal District bi one of de twelve districts wey dey de Bono Region for Ghana insyd.[1] Originally dem created am as a district assembly for 10 March 1989 insyde wen dem known am as Sunyani District, until de northwest part for de district dem split am off go create Sunyani West District on 1 November 2007 (effectively 29 February 2008); thus de remaining part wey dem retain am as Sunyani District, wey latar dem elevate am go municipal assembly status de renamed am as Sunyani Municipal for dat same year.[2] De municipality dey de western part of Bono Region den egey Sunyani as ein capital town.[3][4]
