Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal District (French: District Municipal de Tarkwa-Nsuaem) be one of de fourteen districts insyd Western Region, Ghana. Originally, na ebe part of de den-bollar Wassa West District insyd 1988, wey dem create am from de former Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District Council, until de northern part for de district dem split am off go create Prestea-Huni Valley District on 29 February 2008; thus de part wey remain dem rename am as Tarkwa-Nsuaem District, wey later was dem elevate am to municipal district assembly status insyd dat same year wey ebecome Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal District. You go fi locate de municipality insyd de eastern part of Western Region den eget Tarkwa as ein capital town.

You go fi locate Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal in between Latitude 400’N den 500 40’N den Longitudes 10 45’ W den 20 10’W. To ein north be de Wassa Amenfi East District, to ein south be de Ahanta West District, to ein West be de Nzema East Municipal den to ein East be de Mpohor Wassa East. De municipality get total land area of 2,354 km2.[1]

De district be one of de richest insyd Ghana in terms of ein natural resources. Like, Obuasi insyd de Ashanti Region of Ghana, gold be ein major natural resource. Dem san get manganese mine for Nsuta ebe suburb of Tarkwa. De Tarkwa glass factory, wey dem start am by Ghana ein first presido, Kwame Nkrumah as we dey talk, de factory no dey work buh edey de district insyd. De Tarkwa Gold Mine too dey some four kilometers west for de town of Tarkwa.[2] De district san get de region ein only public university - de George Grant University of Mines and Technology.[3]
