Banda District be one of de twelve (12) districts wey dey de Bono Region for Ghana.[1] Originally we know am say edey part of de den bola Tain District for 17 February 2004; until de northern part for de district wey dem split am off go create Banda District for 28 June 2012; thus dem retain de part wey remain as Tain District. Dem locate de district assembly for northeast part for de Bono Region wey eget Banda Ahenkro as ein capital town.

De Late President, H.E. J.E.A Mills, carry Executive Instrument (E.I) go create 46 fresh Districts for Ghana insyd. De inaugurate den confirm all de MMDAs dem establish as operational plus immediate effect hence e bring de total number for MMDAs come 216.

De district get population size lyk 45,000 as at 2010 plus males be 21,000 den females be 24,000.[2] De Ghana Statistical Service record dey claim say de current population be 25,123.[3] De population dey increase over de years plus growth rate of 2.6%.
