Tain District be one of de twelve districts insyd Bono Region, Ghana.[1][2] Originally na ebe formerly part of de then-larger Wenchi District for 10 March 1989; til na dem split off de western part of de district make dem create Tain District for 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004); thus dem retain de part wey remain as Wenchi District (wich na dem later upgrade am to municipal district assembly status wey na dem rename am as Wenchi Municipal District for 29 February 2008). Later, na dem split off de northern part of de district make dem create Banda District for 28 June 2012; thus na dem retain de part wey remain as Tain District. De district assembly dey locate insyd de northeast part of Bono Region wey e get Nsawkaw as ein capital town.
