Tain District bi one of de twelve districts wey dey de Bono Region for Ghana.[1][2] Originally na edey part of den old bolla Wenchi District as of 10 March 1989; until de western part for de district was split off go create Tain District on 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004); thus de remaining part has been retained as Wenchi District (wey later dem upgrade am to municipal assembly status den dem change ein name com Wenchi Municipal on 29 February 2008).[3] Later, ein northern part for de district wey dey split am come create Banda District on 28 June 2012; thus de remaining part wey dem retaine am as Tain District. De district assembly dey de northeast part of Bono Region den Nsawkaw bi ein capital town.[4][5]
