Debre Markos University (DMU) be public research varsity insyd Debre Markos, Ethiopia. DMU dey locate insyd de area dem endow plus pleasant weather, abundant natural resources wey dey include Choke Mountains water-shade wey dey cover six different agro-ecology zones within 50 km (31 mi) radius plus various bio-diversity den de source of chaw tributaries to de Nile, den Upper Blue Nile Gorge. Dem establish DMU for January 2005 insyd. Two years later, DMU start de teaching-learning process within 760 regular students, 53 academic den 34 supportive staffs, 21 contract servants wey dem declare ein name officially as Debre Markos University. Currently, DMU get 51 undergraduate, 47 postgraduate, den 2 PhD programs in regular, continuing, den distance educations. Dem dey give dese programs at three centers: Main campus at Debre Markos, Burie campus at Burie, den Bichena at Bichena. DMU dey provide competitive den skilled graduates to de national den international organizations for 11 round graduation ceremonies insyd first den second-degree programs. For addition to dese, 126 medical doctors graduate for three rounds insyd.
