[edit | edit source]Na dem born Owusu for 18 November 1954. Dem born am insyd Daloa buh she dey hail from Beposo insyd de Ashanti Region of Ghana. She receive ein primary den middle school education for Asawase L/A Primary and Middle School, wey she plete insyd 1968. She continue ein studies for T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School from 1968 to 1975, wey she earn both ein Ordinary den Advanced Level certificates. Insyd 1976, she enrol for de University of Ghana make she study Law, den later she attend de Ghana School of Law insyd 1980, wer na dem bell am to de Ghana Bar Association insyd November 1981.[3]
Ein Career
[edit | edit source]She start dey serve for de bench as District Magistrate from 1990 go 1992. She cam turn Circuit Court judge for 1992 insyd wey she serve for dat capacity till 2000 insyd wey dem make am High Court judge. For 2003 insyd, dem appoint am as de supervising High Court judge for Sunyani till 2005. She remain High Court judge till 2006 insyd wey she sit for de Court of Appeal. Na she be justice of de Court of Appeal till ein nomination for de role of Supreme Court Judge for November 2019 insyd.[3] Dem swear am in office for 17 December 2019 insyd.[2]
Owusu serve as de presido of de Ghana Chapter of de International Association of Women Judges for sam period of four years. She san serve as member of de Ethics Committee of de Judicial Service. From 2010 go 2014, na she be member of de Performing Assets Committee, Judicial Service.[3]
Na she be part of sam seven-member panel wey do de hearing of de 2020 election petition by John Mahama against de Electoral Commission of Ghana den Nana Akufo-Addo.[4]
