Sefwi-Akontombra District bi one of de nine districts wey dey insyd Western North Region for Ghana.[1] Originally ebi formerly part of de den bollar Sefwi-Wiawso District insyd 1988, wey dem create am from de former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, until ein southwest part of de district dem split am off go create Sefwi-Akontombra District on 29 February 2008; ein remaining part dem retain am as Sefwi-Wiawso District (wey later dem elevate am to municipal assembly status insyd March 2012 (effectively 28 June 2012) for am to become Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal Assembly).[2] De district assembly dey de northeast part of Western North Region den egey Akontombra as ein capital town.[3]
