Sefwi-Akontombra District be one of de nine districts insyd Western North Region, Ghana.[1] Originally na ebe formerly part of de then-larger Sefwi-Wiawso District insyd 1988, wich na dem create from de former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, til na dem split off de southwest part of de district make dem create Sefwi-Akontombra District for 29 February 2008; thus dem retain de part wey remain as Sefwi-Wiawso District (wich na dem later elevate am to municipal district assembly status insyd March 2012 (effectively 28 June 2012) e cam turn Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal District). De district assembly dey locate insyd de northeast part of Western North Region wey e get Akontombra as ein capital town.
