Techiman Municipal bi one of de eleven districts wey dey de Bono East Region for Ghana.[1][2] Originally dem create am as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989 wen dem know am as Techiman District, until ein northern part for de district dem split am off go create Techiman North District on 28 June 2012; thus de remaining part wey dem retain as Techiman District, wey later dem elevate am come to municipal assembly status den later dem rename am as Techiman Municipal Assembly for dat same year. De municipality dey de western part of de Bono East Region den ein gey Techiman as ein capital town.[3]
