Wenchi be a town den de capital of Wenchi Municipal of de Bono Region insyd de middle-belt of Ghana. Insyd August, de annual yam festival dey take place insyd Wenchi wey e dey mark de end of de first rainy season den harvesting of de yam insyd de towns of Wenchi den Techiman.[6] Insyd 2019, na de Omanhemaa (Queen) of Wenchi be Nana Ntoa Sramangyadua III. De Paramount Chief of Wenchi be Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III wey rule de town since 2019.[7]

Wenchi be de home town of Professional footballers wey dey include Asamoah Gyan, Baffoe Gyan den Felix Afena-Gyan.
