Ho Technical University, formerly Ho Polytechnic, be public tertiary institution insyd de Volta Region of Ghana. De Polytechnic start insyd 1968 as technical institute plus de primary goal of providing pre-technical education. By 1972, de Institute make tremendous progress wey e upgrade ein courses. Insyd 1986, na dem upgrade institution into Polytechnic. However, na no be til 1993 wey e get full backing of de law (Polytechnic Law 321) make e cam turn fully-fledged tertiary institution, dem charge am plus de responsibility make dem dey train students to de Higher National Diploma (HND) den Degree Levels.[1][2] Dem replace de Polytechnic Law (PNDC Law 321) for September 2007 by de Polytechnics Act (Act 745). Ho Technical University be one of de premier national tertiary institutions insyd de Volta Region.[3] De Motto of de vearsity be Adanu Nazu kekeli wey dey mean Adanu came turn light.

De varsity get ein antecedents insye de former Ho Technical Institute, wey na dem establish am insyd 1968 make e provide pre-technical training courses insyd various engineering den building trades. For 1972 insyd, dem upgrade de pre-technical courses go more advanced programmes insyd technical, business den oda vocational disciplines.

Though na dem re-designate de Technical Institute go Polytechnic insyd 1986, e no be til 1993 wey e get de full backing of de law (PNDC Law 321 as dem amend by ACT 745) make e cam turn tertiary institution plus statutory objectives den functions.[4]
