Kofi Asamoah also known as Kofas be Ghanaian award-winning film director, writer, plus film producer.[1][2][3] He be de CEO plus Creative Director give Kofas Media, film, television plus advertising production company.[4][5][6][7][8]
Ein Early life
[edit | edit source]Kofi born for Assin Anyinabrem for Central Region of Ghana, but he grow up for Takoradi for Western Region, where he go school for Young Christian Preparatory School. He go secondary school for Mfantsipim School, where na he be part of de school's national debating team. Kofi Asamoah start ein tertiary education for University of Ghana, Legon. But as e start dey do filmmaking, he go NAFTI, where he graduate plus degree for Film plus Television Production, with major in Film Directing. Asamoah later go Ghana Institute of Journalism, where e get master's degree for Public Relations. He later move go US, where he go study Filmmaking for New York Film Academy.
Ein Career
[edit | edit source]Kofi start ein career as news reporter for Skyy Power FM/TV, where e become de voice give dema reality show. For 2009, he start dey do filmmaking for Kumasi. He write den produce ein first content for 2012, wey dem dey call "Boys Kasa" (comic series), wey feature Kalybos, wey ibi dat one shoot am into Ghana movie industry.[9][10][11]
Asamoah produce den sana direct chaw Ghanaian films wey dey include Area Boys (2011), Kalybos in China (2015),[12] John and John (2017), Amakye and Dede, a 2016 film wey feature Majid Michel, John Dumelo plus Salma Mumin wey he win Best Movie for de Year Award (Ghana) for City People Entertainment Awards 2016.[13]
He win Best Movie Director for 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.[14]
