Kwamena Minta Nyarku (dem born am on 7 December 1974) be Ghanaian academic den politician wey be member of de National Democratic Congress (NDC).[1][2][3] He be de member of parliament for de Cape Coast North Constituency insyd de Central Region of Ghana.

He dey hail from Apewosika, Cape Coast insyd Central Region of Ghana.[4] He plete ein GCE Ordinary level den GCE Advanced level certificate insyd Business insyd 1992 den 1996 respectively for Adisadel College, Cape Coast. He san move go Komenda Training College wey he plete ein Teacher Certificate A (3 year Post Sec Teacher Cert A) insyd 1995.[5][6] Insyd 2000, he plete ein bachelor degree insyd education plus emphasis on Business Education at de University of Cape Coast.[4][7] He go on to de University of Ghana Business School, wey he graduate plus a Master of Business Administration (MBA) insyd Marketing insyd 2003. He san be graduate for University of Leicester, where he plete plus Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) insyd Marketing insyd 2019 den de Chartered Institute of Marketing insyd de United Kingdom.[5]

[edit | edit source]Nyarku stand for de National Democratic Congress primaries ahead of the 2020 elections.[7][10] He win de parliamentary bid say he go rep de National Democratic Congress for de Constituency insyd August 2019 after he go unoppose secof de disqualification of ein two contenders.[11][12]
For 16 July 2020, ahead of de elections during de compilation for new ein voter register, dem disqualify am from holding a voter ID card secof claims of registering insyd a suburb of Cape Coast, Nkanfoa, wey he no be resident for a number of years as require by de registration laws.[13][14][15] Ein eligibility dem challenge by a polling agent of ein opponent party de New Patriotic Party (NPP) den refer to de District Registration Review Committee.[13][16] De District Registration Review Committee uphold de challenge den insyd August 2020, he file an appeal against de decision wey dem dismiss by de Cape Coast High Court.[14][16][17] For 22 September 2020, base on ein points wey he raise by ein lawyer Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, an Accra High Court, with de presiding judge Justice Stephen Oppong talk say thru write of mandamus dey compel de Electoral Commission say he for register him since no court of competent jurisdiction go fi barr him from registering.[14][16][17][18]
On 1 October 2020, he go register in accordance to de ruling for de Accra High court.[19][20] De issuing of de new ID card wey dem prompt anoda challenge by de New Patriotic Party wey dis time quashed by de District Registration Review Committee by a 5:2 majority vote wey dey pave way give him to file ein nomination go contest insyd de parliamentary elections.[19][20]
Insyd de 2020 Elections, Nyarku beat de incumbent member of parliament Barbara Asher Ayisi of de New Patriotic Party,[21] wey she double as de deputy minister for works den housing den she be former deputy minister for education.[22][23] He garner 22,972 votes as against ein 21,643 votes wey edey rep 51.49% den 48.51% respectively wey dem declare am as winner den member of parliament elect.[24]
