Early life den education
[edit | edit source]Dem born Mills on 26 April 1956 den he dey hail from Kissi insyd de Central Region of Ghana.[3] He get ein secondary education for Mfantsipim School, where he obtain ein GCE Certificate. He proceed to Komenda College wey he obtain a Diploma insyd Education. Following ein studies at Komenda, Mills enroll at Belmont University where dem award am ein BBA insyd Economics den Accounting insyd 1984, den ein MBA insyd Finance and Banking insyd 1986.[2][4]
Career
[edit | edit source]Prior to entering parliament, Mills work at de Ghana Tourism Development Company as dema chief executive officer from 2003 to 2005. Insyd 2005, he join Panera Bread as dema Regional Manager. Na he work insyd dis capacity until 2009 wen de den president John Atta Mills appoint am as Presidential Aide. He once work for First American Bank as dema Commercial Loans Manager.[2][4]

2016 elections
[edit | edit source]During de 2016 Ghanaian general election, he win de Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem Constituency parliamentary seat. He win plus 21,957 votes wey edey rep 38.4% of de total votes cast whilst de NPP parliamentary candidate Stephen Nana Ato Arthur get 15,960 votes wey edey rep 27.9% of de total votes cast, de PPP parliamentary candidate John Sterlin get 18,860 votes wey dey rep 33.0% for de total votes cast, den de CPP parliamentary candidate Mrs. Rose Austin Tenadu get 410 votes wey dey rep 0.7% for de total votes cast.[5]

[edit | edit source]Mills retain de Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem seat during de 2020 Ghanaian general election wey he poll a total of 26,886 votes making 42.7% for de total votes cast against Samuel Joe Acquah, de NPP parliamentary candidate who get 23,039 votes wey dey rep 36.6% gor de total votes cast den de GUM parliamentary candidate Abubakr Sadiq Cann wey get 1,122 votes wey edey rep 1.8% of de total votes cast, den de PPP parliamentary candidate John Sterlin get 11,964 votes wey edey rep 19.0% of de total votes cast.[6]
Ein life matter
[edit | edit source]Mills be Christian den member of de Methodist Church of Ghana.[2] He be de brother of de late ex-presido John Atta Mills.[7][8]
