Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal District bi one of de nine districts wey dey for Western North Region, Ghana.[1] Originally dem create am as an ordinary district assembly insyd 1988 wey dem dey call am Sefwi-Wiawso District, wey ein southwest part for de district dem split off am go create Sefwi-Akontombra District on 29 February 2008; thus ein remaining part wey dem retain am as Sefwi-Wiawso District, wey later dem elevate am come municipal assembly status insyd March 2012 (effectively 28 June 2012) wey ebecome Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal District.[2][3] De municipality dey insyd de northeast part of Western North Region den egey Wiawso as ein capital town.[4]
