Gushegu Municipal District be one of de sixteen districts wey dey de Northern Region insyd, Ghana.[1] Previously, nah e dey part of de den Gushegu-Karaga District insyd 1988, nah dem create am from de former East Dagomba District Council, e dey there til de western part of de district later split off to create Karaga District on 27 August 2004; den de remaining original part be retain to becam Gushegu District, den ein elevated to municipal district assembly status on de same year to becam Gushegu Municipal District.
