Lariba Zuweira Abudu contest for de 2020 Ghanaian general election under de ticket for New Patriotic Party wey she win. She poll 32,294 votes wey dey represent 51.21% for de total votes wey dem cast. Dem electe am ova Abdallah Abubakari for de National Democratic Congress den Ibrahim Mubarak for de National Democratic Party. Dem get 30,615 den 154 votes, respectively, komot for de total valid votes wey dem cast. Dis be equivalent to 48.55% den 0.24% respectively, for de total valid votes wey dem cast.[4][6][7] She attain dis victory after say she defeat de incumbent Member of Parliament for de NPP, wey sanso be de Deputy Minister for Agriculture wey dey in charge of Crops, Dr. Sagre Bambangi insyd de party ein parliamentary primaries for Walewale Constituency insyd. She emerge winner for de 2020 primaries election wey she represent de area for de 2020 parliamentary elections.

For August 2022 insyd, Nana Akuffo-Addo nominate am as de Minister for Gender, Children den Social Protection[8] after she undergo vetting for December 15, 2022 insyd, Parliament approve am for December 22, 2022,[9] later dem relieve am for office for de February 14, 2024.[10]
